The subject of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has a high priority within THP. We are constantly looking at our resources and people and searching in greater depth for new models for conducting business in a circular fashion. This enables us to realise both our own ambitions and those of our clients in the field of CSR. The concept of CSR is very broad and contains various themes. We describe our activities below by theme.
1. Social Return
Within THP we consider it more than natural to help people who are at a disadvantage in the labour market. Not everyone has encountered it in the same way, but if someone is motivated, we want to give that person a chance and help them with their development.
Not everyone has encountered it in the same way, but if someone is motivated, we want to give that person a chance and help them with their development. At the present time, 12.8% of our employees are working for us via Scalabor. If there is a mutual interest, we will take Scalabor employees on in a permanent position within our company. Since 2014, we have actually taken on a Scalabor employee in permanent employment.
Social Entrepreneurship Performance Ladder (PSO)
To record our activities in the field of social entrepreneurship, we use the Social Entrepreneurship Performance Ladder (PSO). This is a national measuring instrument and quality mark that makes the degree of social entrepreneurship objectively visible.
In February 2019, we reached the highest attainable Step (Step 3). You can read more about this here.
2. The Environment
As a company we work towards a clean environment. Literally and figuratively. During the construction of our offices, we worked explicitly according to the cradle-to-cradle principle and we use automatic lighting during presence and absence. Rainwater drainage takes place by means of a stream flowing through our building. Heat is reused and ecological insulation materials are employed. 155 solar panels have been installed on our office building to reduce our energy consumption. In carrying out cleaning activities, we use eco-friendly cleaning products. Our fleet consists of hybrid and electric vehicles.
In september 2017 hebben wij deelgenomen aan de Circular Economy Challenge van Rabobank, KPMG en MVO Nederland. In addition, we implemented a project in collaboration with the Minor in Circular Economy of the HAN University of Applied Sciences, Arnhem and Nijmegen.
As a market leader in IT cleaning, we want to reduce the large waste stream from workplace equipment in the Netherlands and reduce CO2 emissions. This is done by periodically maintaining the workplace equipment, thus extending service life. In addition, we have become a collection partner for Wecycle in order to recycle used workplace equipment responsibly.
